Thyroid problems are becoming more and more common as our diets and lifestyles seem to be in conflict with the hormonal balancing mechanism which controls our metabolism.

Whether over or under active, thyroid health problems are a sign that all is not well internally and there are a number of factors which could be to blame.

How does the Bionetics Test work?

We use samples of hair to carry out our testing. Hair has become a very important factor in forensic and complementary medical science due to its ability to store information about an individual. Although relatively new when compared to more conventional blood screening, hair testing is proving to be a popular, non-invasive and cost effective alternative to normal tests.

The screening technology uses sensitive computerized diagnostics to build up a picture of the dietary, pathogenic, toxic and nutritional imbalances which could be affecting an individual’s health. This information is used to generate a personal report of the findings along with advice about actions and products that will help to correct the imbalances.

You simply need to follow the online instructions in order to download an application that you send to our Testing Centre for analysis. The results are available online or via post within 7 days of the receipt of your application.

How does it compare to other tests?

The Bionetics test is not a Thyroid Function Test and the results cannot be used to gauge the health of the thyroid gland. If you suspect that you have a Thyroid problem we would encourage you to visit your GP for further testing. We would also encourage you not to self diagnose using the internet and then start taking products designed for treating Thyroid health problems.
